Haaretz published an article arguing that the roots of the crisis plaguing Israel go back to the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The author of the article, Haaretz journalist Carolina Landsman, argues that the political dispute should refocus on the root of the problem: the occupation.
Landsman says the political divide around the axis of the conflict must be reorganized. The right and left in Israel, each according to its vision of the world, should demand an Israeli initiative to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
