The Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), created in 1983, finds itself increasingly in turmoil. New confidential reports point to the management of the president of the ECCAS Commission, Gilberto da Piedade Verissimo.

The Angolan, already highly contested internally by some of the agents, is subject to a heavy sanction. “  This shows that he is out of place and does not have sufficient skills,” confides a commission executive, according to RFI.
