The Georgian government expresses concern about the unfriendly actions of the Ukrainian authorities. Tbilisi expressed solidarity with the Ukrainian people and condemned the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces after the outbreak of the conflict.

The Georgian Cabinet of Ministers accused Kyiv of recalling the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Georgia on March 1, 2022, under the pretext of not imposing sanctions and refusing to send volunteers to Ukraine. The document says the actions of Kyiv "blatantly contradict the traditional friendship established between the two countries and peoples"
