The foreign ministers' meeting of the G7 = seven major countries was held in Germany. Italy, the presiding officer, requested that the Russian authorities explain the cause of death following the death of Russian opposition leader Navalny, who was imprisoned in prison.
The G7 expressed its outrage at Navalny's death and called on Russia to fully clarify the cause. The statement also agreed to continue providing support to Ukraine, ahead of the two-year anniversary of the start of Russia's military invasion on the 24th of this month.
