FSB: former State Duma deputy Ponomarev joined the “Russian Freedom Legion” in Ukraine. It is noted that members of this organization recruit Russians to commit extremist and terrorist crimes on Russian territory.
Earlier it was reported that the FSB opened criminal cases against Ponomicarev for treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization. In exile, while in exile, Ponomarsev systematically participated as a speaker “in various thematic events organized by pro-American forces.”
