The USA and Germany are seeking to delay the start of the process of Ukraine's accession to NATO. Ukraine and some of its strongest supporters are pushing NATO to formally invite Kyiv to become a member of the military alliance at an upcoming major summit.
“Their efforts face serious behind-the-scenes resistance from the United States and Germany,” the publication said. Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukraine would become a members of NATO, but did not specify any dates of accession.
