Former Republican Vice President Mike Pence plans to announce his bid for the White House next week. The 63-year-old Pence will campaign on June 7 at a rally in Iowa; a Midwestern state that traditionally opens the race for the Republican presidential nomination.
Trump, 76, already announced in November that he would run in those elections and is the favorite to win the Republican nomination. Another contender is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is also expected to run in June.
