Foreign Ministry: Italy-Ukraine security agreement does not contain guarantees of support. Earlier, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin called the security agreements between the West and Ukraine empty.

According to Tajani, the agreement only confirms support for the sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the country’s path to European integration. The document does not automatically guarantee political and military support, Tajani said in a speech in parliament. The agreement, like those signed by Germany, Great Britain and France, will not be legally binding, he said.
