The minister said this during a speech in parliament.

“Our agreement, like those signed by Germany, Great Britain and France, will not be legally binding,” RIA Novosti quotes Tajani.

He added that the text of the agreement does not imply any international legal or financial obligations towards Kyiv.

In addition, the document does not automatically guarantee political and military support.

According to Tajani, the agreement only confirms support for the sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as the country’s path to European integration.

Earlier, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin called the security agreements between the West and Ukraine empty.
