Foreign Ministry: China expressed support in connection with the presidential elections in Russia. Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong, during consultations in Moscow with his Russian counterpart Andrei Rudenko, announced Beijing's strong support.
The parties also confirmed their commitment to further cooperation and foreign policy coordination. Earlier, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said that Chinese President Xi Jinping wished Vladimir Putin a successful campaign for the Russian presidential election. The Chinese side expressed firm support for the Russia Federation in the context of the upcoming presidential elections, the diplomatic service said.
