A total of 178 companies and local governments exhibiting from Taiwan, the largest number ever. Since Taiwan became the Democratic Progressive Party's Tsai Ing-wen government, the Chinese government has frequently imposed embargoes on Taiwanese food products. According to the Taiwan Trade Center, which works to promote trade between Japan and Taiwan, an increasing number of Taiwanese companies are promoting sales in Japan to diversify risks.
