Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy announced on Thursday the start of internal investigations starting from 2018 to October 10. Halevy: “We went through difficult events, and we failed to protect civilians,” referring to the Al-Aqsa flood battle.

Israeli officials acknowledged responsibility for what happened, describing it as a failure and a security failure, with the exception of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The head of the Israeli Internal Security Service (Shin Bet), Ronen Bar, had directed, for the first time, to open an internal investigation into the attack of October 7.
