Earlier, farmers in Brussels attempted to break into the Euroquarter. Police had to use water cannons and tear gas to stop the break-in. The head of the department, Luis Planes, was meeting in the ministry building with agricultural organizations at the time of the protest, the syndicate said. The protest began at the gates of the ministry.
