Estonia's new government has approved a coalition agreement that calls for an increase in defense spending to three percent of GDP. The agreement was approved by the Reformist Party under the leadership of Prime Minister Kai Kallas.

The document says that the state in the coming years will be "in the most difficult security situation since the Second World War" It is specified that the main directions of development of the Defense Forces will be the development of multi-level air defense systems and long-range missile systems.
