Erdogan called on the UN Security Council to quickly “stop Israel’s attacks on Rafah and all of Gaza. The Turkish leader stressed that the Israel Defense Forces' attacks on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip are a consequence of the duplicitous policy pursued by Western countries.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said that the international community should not allow the Israeli Defense Forces to conduct a military operation in Rafah. The United Nations Security Council and relevant countries must take steps to stop Israel as soon as possible, he said.
