Nursing staff for an entire ward at the nursing home in Harads will be expelled before the summer. The accommodation is now facing a substitute crisis as trained staff disappear.

The difficulty in finding staff has led to the development of an introduction programme for receiving and training asylum seekers. Today, about one in three employees in elderly care in Harad are asylum seekers, a proportion that is also increasing, says Christina Nyberg, unit manager for the elderly care home Älvstrand.
