The Swedish e-sports federation has become a member of the Swedish Sports Confederation and is now considered a sport. The announcement is positively received by Eskilstuna e- sports association "E-town Gaming" who believe that it will facilitate their work in the future.
"Games are a very good hub for young people and provide a sense of community," says John Karlsson, one of the founders of E-town gaming. The decision was made during the Swedish sports Confederation's annual general meeting on May 28.
