"It means a lot for esports. Creating community for young people

The association that organizes events and tournaments, both offline and online, works to promote e-sports locally and create a positive environment for the association's members.

"Games are a very good hub for young people and provide a sense of community. Many may not have another classic interest in sports and I think it is important for young people to find their thing. The fact that it has been taboo to engage in gaming or e-sports has been a problem because it does not include, but it excludes individuals from society.

The decision was made during the Swedish Sports Confederation's annual general meeting on May 28, after a vote in which the e-sports federation was elected with 108 votes to 71.
