Donald Trump must pay $83.3 million in damages to author E. Jean Carroll.

Trump had 30 days to post bail or cash while he appeals. His lawyers have now requested a postponement of payment - but far too late, according to US District Judge Lewis Kaplan. Trump shouldn't have waited until 25 days after the verdict, said the judge. Trump now has to pay the full amount to Carroll by Monday – or at least provide a deposit or assets as security. The jury found it proven that Trump sexually assaulted Carroll in a New York luxury department store in 1996 and later slandered him.
