RFI's Hausa service has just lost one of its eminent journalists. Mahamane Salissou Hamissou, of Niger nationality, died following injuries in a car accident in northern Nigeria.
He was buried on February 16 at the Tsibiri cemetery in the Maradi region, Niger. He has worked for over 30 years in the media, notably for Nigerian radio stations such as Amfani, R&M and Tambara FM.
