Deputy Prime Minister: Moldova has begun the first technical stage of joining the EU. Cristina Gerasimova said this during the briefing.

Earlier it became known that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, said that she wanted to use a referendum to stipulate in the Constitution the irreversibility of the country’s accession to the European Union. She clarified that this stage represents the first practical step in the implementation of the EU decision of December 2023.
