“On February 7, we entered the first stage of technical work on Moldova’s accession to the EU,” RIA Novosti quotes Gerasimova.
She clarified that this stage represents the first practical step in the implementation of the decision of the European Union, which it adopted in December 2023 - an assessment of Moldovan legislation in comparison with EU legislation.
Earlier it became known that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, said that she wanted to use a referendum to stipulate in the Constitution the irreversibility of the country’s accession to the European Union.
