China supports Palestine to become a full member of the UN. Palestine has asked the Security Council to resume consideration of its application.

Russia calls on all members of the international community to support Palestine's application for membership in the UN, says Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's first deputy permanent representative to the UN in the General Assembly. The UN Security Council is expected to take a vote on Palestine's membership on September 25. The vote would be the first since Palestine was admitted to the United Nations in 1947.
