In Chad, the Constitutional Council began registering candidacy files for the presidential election on May 6 on Wednesday March 6. Only the Patriotic Salvation Movement (MPS) party, of the late President Idriss Deby Itno, has so far submitted the candidacy of his son, MahamatIdriss Déby.

The presidential election will put an end to the Chadian transition which has lasted for three years. Among the parties expected until March 15, the Transformers must decide during the weekend.
