Catalonia prohibits cell phones in schools up to 12 years of age and restricts their use in ESO. Primary Education students (ages 6 to 12) will not be able to bring phones to classrooms.
In Secondary Education (ages 12 to 16) their use will be limited: they must be turned off except when teachers allow it to carry out academic activities. The Generalitat has today approved the rule that regulates the use of smartphones in all centers, which until now acted autonomously.
