Cameroon: transport prices increase following the rise in fuel prices. In Cameroon, on February 19, 2024, the authorities and representatives of transport unions agreed on increases in urban and interurban transport prices.

A decision which comes almost two weeks after the 15% increase in the price of fuel. The increase in transport prices has an impact on the daily lives of Cameroonians. To remedy this, the government has initiated discussions with employers to possibly increase the minimum wage, which is 45,000 CFA francs.
