In Burkina Faso, armed men attacked the village of Galgnoini, in the commune of Tigba. The attack took place on February 7 and left around fifty civilians dead.
This region has been under the control of armed terrorist groups for several months. Security forces and VDPs are deployed on site, but we are observing population movements towards neighboring localities, according to an analyst on security issues. The market, granaries and food supplies were ransacked and set on fire. Several residents are missing.
