Kimi Badinock is due to hold trade talks with ministers from the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries this week. The minister vowed to seize the opportunity of her visit to get deals worth one trillion pounds.

Total trade between Britain and the Gulf states reached a record high, exceeding £61 billion in 2022. Since leaving the European Union in 2016, London has been working to find new economic partners, with special priority given to the countries of this region, due to the volume of Gulf investments in Britain.
