British justice grants Julian Assange the right to appeal his extradition to the United States. The High Court in London handed down its decision on Tuesday, March 26.

The country will have to offer “  satisfactory guarantees  ” that Julian Assange will be able to plead the First Amendment and that he will not risk being sentenced to death. This was the final national legal avenue still open to Julian Assange to avoid this extradition. Julian Assange faces 175 years in prison for leaking more than 700,000 confidential documents on American military and diplomatic activities.
