Breakdown in the Bundestag administration: MPs receive their April salary late. Normally, parliamentarians get their so-called diet on the 1st of every month.
This April, however, nothing arrived on the accounts - no April Fool's joke. The reason is a typo in the administration, according to which the transfers were dated April 28th instead of March 28th. The MPs should now receive their salaries and the flat rate allowance by the end of this week. As the "Bild" newspaper reports, it's about 16,000 euros per MP.
