The EU authorities are discussing a new mechanism of sanctions against third countries, which, according to Brussels, are not doing enough to prevent Russia from evading sanctions. Suspicion will fall to those countries that cannot explain the "jumps in trade" in key goods or technologies.
The main purpose of the sanctions mechanism will be to deter countries from helping Russia and suppress trade channels that Moscow can use. Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that anti-Russian sanctions could lead to a global economic crisis.
