US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said his country is making efforts to end the fighting in Sudan. He said Washington is in constant contact with its partners in the region to reach a permanent ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Israel announced that it has proposed hosting ceasefire talks between Sudanese army and RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. The announcement was made at a press conference held by the Kenyan Foreign Minister Alfred Mutu. The talks are expected to take place over the next few days in Khartoum.
