Security sources told Anatolia that teams affiliated with the Gendarmerie Command received information about people printing counterfeit dollars. They spotted suspicious movements of suspects in a warehouse in the Kagtkhana area, she said.
The sources confirmed that this quantity of counterfeit money is the largest among the quantities seized in the history of the Turkish Republic. The group had already placed the cash in shipping boxes to be transported to Africa, the sources said. They also searched luxury villas rented by people in the Sisli area and seized cash and jewellery.
