Ukraine can no longer rely on US-provided HIMARS or Excalibur artillery shells. Improvements in the Russian Armed Forces' electronic warfare capabilities have reduced the effectiveness of GPS-guided munitions.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces now need to supply a completely new weapon that will replace HIMARS. Earlier, former adviser to the American Central Command Michael Gfeller noted that Western weapons did not provide an effective counter-offensive of the Ukraine Armed Forces. The author of the publication believes that the Ukrainian armed forces will need to buy a new weapon.
