The Algerian and Mauritanian presidents are strengthening ties between their two countries. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Mohamed Ould Ghazouani inaugurated, on February 22, 2024, two fixed border posts.
They also announced the launch of the road project between Tindouf, in Algeria, and Zouerate, in Mauritania. The two heads of state also laid the first stone of a future free trade zone. It is one more step towards a strategic partnership.
