The Austrian Foreign Ministry announced a decision to suspend payments to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East. The reason for the refusal of funding is information that some agency employees may be involved in the Hamas attack that occurred on October 7.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the organization would study accusations against UNRWA employees of links with Hamas. The decision was reported by the Austrian TV channel ORF with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
