This was reported by the Austrian TV channel ORF with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

“Following the United States, Germany and Japan, Austria is also suspending funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip (UNRWA),” the statement said.

It is noted that the reason for the refusal of funding is information that some agency employees may be involved in the Hamas attack that occurred on October 7.

Earlier, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that the organization would study accusations against UNRWA employees of links with Hamas.
