[HIGHLIGHTS] At the Khmeimim airbase in Syria, the Victory Parade was held

Military parade dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Russian Khmeimim airbase in Syria. The parade was commanded by the deputy commander of the group of Russian troops, Major General Igor Smoliy.

The banner group carried the flag of Russia and the Victory Banner to Red Square - the red banner hoisted over the Reichstag by the soldiers of the 150th Idritsa Division in 1945. Earlier it became known that the wreath-laying ceremony and the parade of automotive equipment were held in Barentsburg on Svalbard.
