As the security situation in Haiti deteriorates, Prime Minister Henry resigns after being blocked from returning home. Since February 29, gangs in Haiti have attacked multiple public facilities and demanded that Henry step down.

At the time of the incident, Henry was in Kenya signing an agreement to deploy international security forces to help address violence. When he returned to Haiti, his plane was refused landing at Haiti International Airport and subsequently had to make a temporary stop in Puerto Rico. The general election held recently has also been postponed, and social dissatisfaction has become increasingly serious.
