[HIGHLIGHTS] Armenia stated that the country has always strived to join the EU

Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan said that Armenia has always strived to become a member of the European Union. He added that Armenia had always followed the path of joining the EU until “it was pulled into another system.” In early March, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said the authorities were actively discussing the idea of the country joining theEU.

The head of diplomacy of the EU, Josep Borrell, said that the EU and Armenia intend to begin a dialogue on visa liberalization.
