The JEC orders that the postal votes of Melilla deposited in mailboxes are not sent to the polling stations. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has taken over the investigation of the alleged purchase of postal votes in Melilla.

This has been agreed by the Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortiz, in a decree in which he indicates that the police investigation has revealed "solid indications" of the existence "of a large-scale operation of buying votes"
