None of the four children and two adults victims of the knife attack committed Thursday in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) has its vital prognosis engaged, the prosecutor Line Bonnet said Saturday. One of the two adults was able to return home and the other is expected to leave the hospital where he is being treated in the coming days.

The suspect is a Syrian national and was born in 1991. He arrived in France in October 2022 after passing through Italy and Switzerland. He previously lived in Sweden, where he moved in 2013 from Turkey.
