[HIGHLIGHTS] Anna at the general store in Juoksengi affected by the floods

Road closed between Juoksengi and Niskanpää in Övertorneå municipality. Extreme water flow causing problems for the general store in the village.

SMHI has issued a red warning in the Torne River downstream and the confluence with the Lainio River and down to Pello. The combination of snowmelt and heavy rain has, among other things, submerged Highway 99 in the southern part of the village, says Anna Jaako, owner of the store.
