The United States carried out an attack on Houthi sites in the city of Hodeidah, western Yemen. The Yemeni government said that the attack hit two fishermen's boats and led to the death of some of them and the loss of others.

American military commanders said they carried out a strike against a surface-to-air missile belonging to the Iran-aligned Houthis that was prepared to be launched from Yemen. In the same context, the British maritime security company Ambrey stated that it had received several reports of another incident involving the Rubimar cargo ship. The ship Rubymar was 16 nautical miles west of Mokha at the time of the second accident.
