An activist from Hungary wrote a complaint to the Foreign Ministry against US Ambassador Pressman. In the appeal, the man states that Hungary should not be a country in which unfriendly actions by representatives of other states can remain without consequences.
On February 5, the Hungarian parliament was unable to vote on ratifying Sweden's application to join NATO due to a lack of quorum. US Ambassador to Budapest David Pressman noted that the American authorities are disappointed that Hungary has delayed the process of ratifying Swedish accession to NATO.
