American soldier sets himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington. Aaron Bushnell, 25, an active member of the US Air Force, originally from San Antonio, Texas, died from his injuries.
This is the first time that a person has died in the United States during an act of activism against the war in Gaza. There have already been numerous pro-Palestinian demonstrations in the country and several in Washington, at least two of which brought together several thousand people. A rally, announced before this death, is planned for next Saturday.
