Ambassador Garalag: EU diplomats did not receive signals from Moscow to leave Russia. He noted that the decision to refuse a meeting with the minister was a “reasonably justified decision” and taken in accordance with normal diplomatic practice.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the EU ambassadors’ refusal to meet with Lavrov raises questions about their work in the country. The EU Delegation is not worried about the possible expulsion of ambassadors.
