Algeria distributes an amended draft resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The draft resolution renews the demand that all parties strictly comply with their obligations regarding the protection of civilians.
Diplomatic sources told Al Jazeera that a vote is expected on the draft resolution next week. The United States’ position on theDraft has not changed, as it still believes that the adoption of a resolution in the Security Council may negatively affect the talks on the deal to release detainees and prisoners. Since the seventh of last October, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip.
