Al Jazeera monitored attempts by civil defense teams to recover bodies and injured people from various areas in the Gaza Strip. Pictures showed bodies lying in the streets, including women and children.
One of the injured said that the occupation army dropped shells on them without warning, noting that he remained under the rubble for 12 hours until the Civil Defense reached him. He added that he could hear the voice of a girl calling for help from underneath the rubble, but he was unable to move from his place because of the rubble.
