Palestinian news agency Wafa reported on Saturday evening that a settler executed a Palestinian youth from the village of Sandala inside the Green Line. A video circulated on social media showed the settler attacking al-'Omari while he was inside his vehicle on the side of the road, followed by a fistfight between them in the street.
Wafa pointed out that a general and comprehensive strike was announced in Sandala on Sunday to protest the crime of execution.Since February, the number of gun licenses in Israel has skyrocketed following an easing ordered by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The death toll from crimes during the first four months of 2023 is the highest in decades.
